Introduction
to the Land Administration Authority
The
Land Administration Authority (LAA) is an autonomous
agency of the Ministry of Local Government and
Chieftainship. The LAA as a body corporate was
established on 15 June 2010 by the Land Administration
Authority Act 2010. LAA is tasked with administration
of leaseholds land tenure system, registration

Survey Work |

The
following services require the applicant
to pay for services of the private surveyor
registered with Director of Survey and Mapping
Services:
Survey
of new site
Subdivision
of existing plots
Merging
of plots
Relocation
of lost boundary marks (repegging)
The
private surveyor should submit the survey
work for approval to Director of Survey
and Mapping Services.

Property Valuation |
The
service of private property valuer is required
when there is a transfer transaction of
leased property. The private valuer prepares
a valuation report for concerned property
for use in computation of stamp duty.
